Join the Symphonians

The Music Center Symphonians are volunteer docents of The Music Center and dedicated arts lovers. The Symponians have been offering free public tours of The Music Center since 1965. Complimentary Symphonian tours are offered daily and docents volunteer for at least one tour a month.

Member Prerequisites

In addition to the Symphonians’ touring and committee responsibilities, members attend monthly meetings from October through June where artists from The Music Center’s programming arm TMC Arts share their talents and background information. Symphonians also enjoy social and special events and have opportunities to see Music Center performances.

To get started on becoming a Symphonian, you must meet the following prerequisites:

• Observe a minimum of three five-venue tours led by a touring Symphonian.
• Submit a completed application following two (of three) observation tours.
• Complete an in-person interview.
• Attend a minimum of one General Meeting (October 2023-May 2024).
• Comply with all Music Center requirements.
