A TMC Arts Program Special Event with LeVar Burton & Co-Creators of The Gift

Date

February 8, 2025, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Admission

Free - RSVP required

Location

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

Join actor, director, producer and literacy advocate LeVar Burton for a special free event at The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. In this intimate conversation, Burton and the co-creators of The Gift will explore the celestial and social themes woven throughout this unique installation.

Before the discussion, immerse yourself in the music-filled experience of The Music Center Presents: The Gift, where you can peruse an illustrated book that tells the story of two stars whose fates are intricately intertwined. The installation offers a thought-provoking journey that invites you to reflect on profound themes of grief, loss, human connection, sacrifice and the passage of time.

We Are Fully Booked

Reservations for the special event with LeVar Burton are now fully booked, but we encourage you to visit the The Gift installation and explore the beautifully illustrated book inspired by Dr. Natalie Gosnell’s research on binary stars at any time.

If you’d like to attend the special conversation with LeVar Burton and the co-creators of The Gift, a standby line will be available. Standby entry is on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.
