About
The Palmdale High School Chamber singers are a select a cappella choir ensemble and have performed nationally and internationally in festivals and competitions. The Chamber Singers are joined by the Sunday Night Singers, a select non-profit chamber choir with members from all over L.A. County. Many of the Sunday Night Singers started as high school singers at Palmdale High School. The Sunday Night Singers have recorded three albums and also have an outstanding national and international presence. Combined these two ensembles have performed at 14 L.A. County Holiday Celebration broadcasts.
The Sunday Night Singers began in 2005 when director Mike McCullough was asked to provide singers for a birthday party. He reached out to a few of his previous students to participate and the small group was a success! Their name came naturally as they rehearsed on Sunday nights. The Sunday Night Singers have competed in the Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales and at the World Choir Games in Cincinnati and Riga, Latvia. They have placed in multiple competitions and won the mixed chamber choir category at the 2012 World Choir Games.
